About Intentiv

Intentiv's founders are a computer science professor and physician and a tech startup CEO. Intentiv was born out of our desire to meet the many many requests we get for coffees, lunches, and Zooms where people want to sit down and 'pick our brains' for advice. The truth is, we love to do it. There's just a couple problems. One of course is time, no surprise there.

But the other is really about ensuring conversations are valuable and efficient on both sides. A lot of the time we are covering the same kinds of basic questions (Who would pay for this product? How will you get the data? Have you looked into the compliance issues?). If the people seeking our advice had worked through and explored these questions first, we'd be having much more productive conversations.

So a big part of Intentiv was figuring out a way to make these interactions better. But another part was about how do we expand and democratize the ability to give and get great expert advice? I'm sure there are plenty of people who might want my advice but they don't want to take up my time or aren't sure how to ask. And I'm sure there are even more people who have incredible expertise but don't have a good way to make that expertise known because they are not super into social media influencing or just want to focus on doing a great job at their work.

On the money front, a lot of experts, myself and possibly yourself included, do paid consulting. It's a pretty good gig. And it was important to us that Intentiv did not reduce the value of direct consulting. In fact, we wanted to expand it, more volume, more people having an opportunity to take part. We also wanted to enable the ability to get paid for those quick consultations. So while your students can engage for free, you may want others to pay for your knowledge and experience. It's up to you. Intentiv makes it easy all around.

And here's where AI comes into the picture. There is concern that AI will reduce the value of people. At Intentiv, we think it's just the opposite, that human experience will become more important than ever. We are big big fans of people. So what Intentiv enables is creating very specific focused expert agents that help you engage with people and make those engagements more valuable and scalable. Intentiv is about real experts who want to better connect with, advise, and learn from others. We do this with the help of AI, but AI is not the story. We also take IP extremely seriously– the knowledge you create is yours, never used for training, and never shared outside the platform. In short, we built Intentiv to be the platform we'd want to use to both give advice and get advice.
